Training for trainers

We’re looking to recruit new trainers to join our ‘Learning and Development’ Pool and help in delivering and developing training courses to practitioners working with children and their families in Medway.

What trainers will get

You will get support from current trainers and MSCB around delivery and if you’re already trained as a trainer then we will let you know about the current MSCB training packages ready to deliver.

Trainer requirements

For most MSCB courses, there are two trainers required, each being from a different agency which will offer a positive dynamic for the group being trained.

How training is delivered

The training for MSCB is delivered on a multi-agency basis and delegates will be from a variety of services including health, education, police, Kent fire and rescue service, youth services, social services, probation, foster care.

The training you will deliver will use your skills as a trainer and call upon your experience as a frontline practitioner in Medway working with children and families.

What we’re looking for

Mostly we’re looking for practitioners with the knowledge and experience to deliver our Basic and Intermediate Child Protection training packages, but also practitioner’s that can deliver specialist training topics such as Child Sexual Exploitation.

If you’d like to deliver training

If you feel you have the right safeguarding experience and want to deliver training we want to hear from you!

If you do not have previous experience of delivering training or teaching adults but would still like to join the pool please contact the MSCB as additional training can be provided.

Course duration:

This is a two day training programme. Day two is delivered over two full day sessions. You must attend the two training sessions.
